About the SLOWPOKE-2
The SLOWPOKE-2 is a research reactor used by SRC Environmental Analytical Laboratories as an analytical tool to determine elemental concentrations in a wide variety of sample types for various industries. The lab is currently transitioning to other methods for performing these analyses. The process to decommission is highly regulated and will be conducted under the stringent requirements of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). SRC has selected Candu Energy Inc., a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, to provide decommissioning services for the reactor. Learn more about the SLOWPOKE-2.
