Alcohol by Volume

SRC Environmental Analytical Laboratories offers fully accredited testing in accordance with Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) requirements for measuring Alcohol By Volume (ABV). We are developing test methods to support craft brewers, winemakers and distillers in Saskatchewan. 

ABV tests are crucial for meeting labelling requirements, as well as ensuring that processing is done in accordance with specifications. Our reliable and knowledgeable staff is ready to support the industry with these important tests.

In addition, the lab is now developing other tests for ingredients and contaminants that are required by regulators and/or needed by the industry. These tests include:

  • Metals, including heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and copper
  • Sugars
  • Methanol 
  • Sulfites
  • Pesticide residues
