Ken From has over four decades of leadership experience in Canada’s energy sector, spanning roles from startup oil and gas ventures to executive positions in utility management. He recently retired as President and CEO of SaskEnergy, Saskatchewan’s Crown natural gas utility. During his time there, Ken made significant strides in enhancing the company's environmental performance and was instrumental in the release of its inaugural sustainability report.
Previously, Ken served as CEO of the Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC). In this capacity, he advanced initiatives in sustainable energy innovation and represented Canada internationally, particularly in carbon reduction strategies, including Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). He also led the establishment of the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) as an independent regulator, ensuring it effectively met the needs of industry, government, and the public.
A proud Saskatchewan-born Professional Engineer, Ken has long supported his profession and community. His contributions include serving as President of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and as a Director of Engineers Canada. His dedication and service have earned him numerous achievements, including the Brian Eckel Distinguished Service Award, Life Membership in APEGS, and Fellowships with both Engineers Canada and Geoscientists Canada.
