Purchasing and Procurement

SRC's goal is to serve its clients’ needs by obtaining best value in supply chain management, from acquisition to disposal. We work with internal clients and external vendors to add value by reducing and avoiding costs, creating efficiency and effectiveness throughout the procure-to-pay process and developing strategic vendor relationships with best-in-class suppliers.

SRC's procurement team is guided by Supply Chain Canada's Professional Code of Ethics, and engages in fair and transparent procurement processes.

Supplier Opportunities

Supporting Indigenous-Owned Business ParticipationStats about working with Indigenous-owned businesses

Through its Indigenous Action Plan, SRC is committed to increasing opportunities for Indigenous-owned businesses, communities and organizations.

Between 2024 and 2026, SRC procured $35.5 million in goods and services from Indigenous suppliers. On average, Indigenous suppliers accounted for 13 per cent of SRC's total spend during that period.

Indigenous-owned businesses, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit-owned businesses, are encouraged to connect with SRC's procurement team to learn more about becoming a supplier.
