Keeping Our Local Shorelines Clean

October 2, 2013

From September 23-27, 2013, 111 SRC employees helped clean up the shorelines in Saskatoon and Regina as part of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. In total, SRC employees collected 675.835 kg of garbage and recycling (everything from cigarette butts to takeout containers), keeping it out of our water systems and making a difference in the health and beauty of the communities we live and work in.

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national initiative and is recognized as one of the largest direct action conservation programs, as well as the most significant contributor to the International Coastal Cleanup in Canada.
