| Distinguished Engineer Awarded Second Term | |||
The prestigious three-year position is reserved for those unique individuals at SRC with a solid record of applying engineering or scientific solutions resulting in a direct effect on SRC’s reputation and business success while consistently demonstrating performance and behavior in synch with SRC’s corporate beliefs and values. A Distinguished Engineer's term can be renewed, but only following a comprehensive review process. Reappointments are awarded to those who maintain the standards expected of the distinguished level and who continue to guide and motivate others. Gillies joined SRC as a research engineer in 1975 and served as the SRC Pipe Flow Technology Centre's manager from 1989 to 2006. Gillies and his team have researched pipeline transport systems for Canadian potash, uranium, and heavy crude oil companies. Their internationally recognized work is used in Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Congratulations, Randy! |
