SRC will be holding three community meetings to discuss the rehabilitation options for the Gunnar Mine Site. A family from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band will be introduced to their new home that has energy efficient and durability improvements incorporated into the build. This project is the result of a partnership between the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) Prairie Region, CORCAN, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Indian & Northern Affairs Canada, the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, the Saskatchewan Research Council, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Prince Albert Grand Council, the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, and the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
