Today the Pipe Flow Technology Centre turns 50 and industry stakeholders will be on hand to celebrate its successes alongside SRC. For 50 years, the Pipe Flow Technology Centre has been testing how industrial fluids, such as crude oil, mineral ores and mining waste, can be transported more efficiently through pipelines. This impressive facility can process up to 27 tonne batches of oil sands ore. At 133 metres, the longest pipeline loop holds just under 28,000 litres of fluid. The Centre continues to aid companies in leaving a smaller environmental footprint. Print this Article | Back to Top
