Business Resumption (Emergency/ Disaster Response, Recovery and Resumption)

The Business Resumption Plan (BRP) addresses interuptions to normal business operations. The plan is a toolbox that covers activities from the point of our initial response, to the point at which normal business operations are resumed. It is a synchronized plan, based on defined business continuity strategies, that outlines procedures and processes to guide our staff in a disruption situation.

Objectives:

The objective of this Business Resumption Plan is to provide an organized response to a disruptive event and to maintain business operations at a level that will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellness of our personnel.
  • Mitigate, control and reduce the impacts of adverse events on our facilities, intellectual property and client / partner relationships during the recovery period.

SRC's Continuity priorities are:

  • Life safety, health and security of personnel.
  • Effective communications with internal and external audiences.
  • Preservation of the integrity of vital records, reports, research documents and databases.
  • Preservation of the integrity of client materials.
  • Completion and delivery of contracted obligations.
