Safety must be an integral part of all tasks in every job. As such, SRC has undertaken a number of initiatives to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of its operations. Some examples of these initiatives include:

- Safety resources easily accessible to employees via intraweb
- Stretch breaks implemented in several areas
- Preventative maintenance schedules implemented
- Safety audits
- Incident reporting/investigation
- Emergency/disaster recovery plan
- Workstation ergonomics assessments
- Annual indoor air quality assessment program
- Return to work program
- Safety orientations for employees, clients, students, and some visitors
- Specific budget allocation for safety program and initiatives
- Three active safety committees
- Required safety training for all employees
- Active contractor safety program
- Pre-hire, pre-placement, pre-promotion screening
- Employee concern/feed-back communication systems
