The Main Sample Preparation areas in the laboratory are:
Sample preparation is vital to good quality analytical results: the laboratory ensures that each sample is processed in such a way to minimize matrix contamination between samples and groups. Processing facilities at the laboratory have been developed and expanded to allow for segregated preparation areas. To speed up sample preparation process please identify the sample type (basement / sandstone) and provide a list of samples and the required analysis to the lab. If assistance is needed for shipping supplies or procedures please contact the lab. All equipment is clearly designated for separate processes. Quality control measures are applied in the sample preparation stages to ensure the homogeneity of the sample. Samples are uniquely identified by group and sample numbers and in some instances radioactivity.
