Macro Diamond Processing (Dense Media Separation and X-ray)

SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories Diamond Services recent facility expansion incorporated a new processing facility for macro (>0.5mm) diamond recovery. This high security facility was designed for large recovery projects and audit sample processing and includes:

• 5 ton/hour Dense Media Separation (DMS) Plant
• 2 stage X-ray sorting for concentrate
• Grease table recovery
• Perm roll (optional)
• Glove box final recovery and sorting for concentrate material
• Quality control checks on all equipment to monitor the efficiency of processing
• 24-hour video surveillance
• Secure access to facility and compound
• A hands-off concentrate recovery process
• Security personnel on site to monitor processing

Individual customer requirements and projects based on the equipment set up can be designed to suit the needs of the customer/project.
