In 2016-17, SRC continued to focus on achieving the greatest possible impacts on economic growth in Saskatchewan. Our work helps Saskatchewan's natural resource industry diversify, grow and sustain, as well as create jobs for the private sector.
Highlights from the past year include:
- Receiving the first-ever Mission:Zero Award in the large company category from Safe Saskatchewan
- Completing the first year in a three-year project to develop a rapid assessment tool to measure carbon storage in boreal forest wetlands
- Launching the Centre for the Demonstration of Emissions Reductions (CeDER)
- Recognition as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers
